Kassiopeia

Appearance

Kassiopeia or Kassie is an android in the form of an adult human woman. As is typical for androids, her fair skin is marked in purple to blue coloured lines that represent some of the circuitry that governs her frame. The shell she inhabits is both resilient and strong. Her hair is currently dyed pink and usually worn up to not get in the way. Kassie prefers to wear comfortable and practical clothes that do not get in the way of manual labour.

Background

When Kassiopeia awoke in her body about 7 years ago, her whole world was a small asteroid city in the Diaspora. The human couple Orest and Cleo were the first other living beings she encountered. Quickly, she learned from them that she was their android. They had acquired her to help them with manual labour. Not questioning what was the obvious truth, Kassiopeia spent her first year hard at work for the couple. While days were exhausting, Kassie was well-suited to the tasks. The small human colony was some sort of fanatical religious cult that had fled from Absalom to be on their own. Her "owners" were in charge of many of the Asteroid's logistics, thus Kassiopeia's main tasks involved moving goods around.

When after a year, a group of pirates came to rob the place, Kassiopeia learnt for the first time, that there was more to existence than just this colony. The pirates had only been there for a few days, when the Android Abolitionist Front arrived and ousted the pirates. They had had some sort of conflict. It was then that Kassiopeia learnt that she had the right to her freedom and was not to be owned by anyone. She left with the AAF and was provided passage to Absalom. The AAF also analyzed her and she learnt that her body had been built as some sort of military platform with an unusually high nanite count.

Not knowing what to do and not having a lot of experience with anything other than logistics work, Kassiopeia signed on as a Dockworker first in Absalom. Not used to the hustle and bustle of the big space station, however, she quickly hired on to work starships and deal with freight management onboard. She did however discover a fondness for VR dramas about ancient Golarion and the exploits of adventurers.

Recently, she has been brought on board to handle the equipment of the science team on the Marata. Sharing a common interest in Aventure-VR, Kassiopeia gets along very well with Damaya Lashunta Soryn who is one of the team's scientists. Considering him a very good friend, they often spend time together during off-shift, solving the latest VR mystery. While on the Marata, Kassie has also learnt how to use her abundant nanites more actively, helping her avoid bruises and damage to her skin as well as manifest items that may be useful
